NECO Result Checking vs e-Verify: Which Service Do You Need?

NECO result checking and e-Verify serve different purposes. The result checker lets you view examination results; e-Verify provides an official verification route for individuals and receiving organisations.

Start with the receiver’s request

Read the exact instruction from your university, employer or evaluating organisation. Does it ask for a result printout, an official verification report, or an e-Verify token or reference? Do not pay for a different service simply because both pages carry the NECO name.

The ordinary results portal asks for examination details and a result-checking token. The e-Verify platform has its own account and verification workflow. Its current notice explains routes involving a payment token/reference or an application directed to a receiving institution.

Questions to answer before paying

  1. What examination year and type are being verified?
  2. Who must receive the verification?
  3. Does the receiver supply a reference code?
  4. Must the report go directly from NECO?
  5. Which payment and validation steps appear in the official account?

Write the answers beside your application checklist. That prevents a payment for a personal result check from being mistaken for institutional verification.

Keep the delivery trail

Save the payment reference, validation confirmation and report or application reference. Ask the receiving office to confirm that it can match the verification to your application. A successful payment alone does not show that the correct office received the document.

Is a screenshot of my result the same as verification?

No. It can show what you saw, but the receiving organisation may require a report or reference checked through NECO’s own system.

Should I send the receiver my account password?

No. Use the official report, token or reference route requested for verification. Account access should remain under your control.

What if I already paid for the wrong service?

Keep the receipt and contact official support before making another payment. Do not assume that two different NECO services share the same transaction.
