The JAMB matriculation list and NYSC senate list are separate records. Seeing your name on one does not establish that every other graduation or mobilisation check is complete.
Ask which record the problem concerns
JAMB’s matriculation-list service concerns recognition of the admission record. NYSC’s senate-list check concerns details submitted through the institution for mobilisation. Use the official service for the question you are trying to answer.
Create two checklist rows: service checked, date, result and next action. This prevents a screenshot from one system being presented as proof that the other is correct.
Trace an error to its source
If the JAMB record is missing or inconsistent, compare your admission details and ask your institution which JAMB verification step is outstanding. If the NYSC senate search does not find you, contact student affairs about the institutional submission.
Use a specific enquiry: “My JAMB check shows [position], while the NYSC search on [date] shows [position]. Please confirm which institutional record requires action.” Send identifiers privately through the proper channel.
Keep the supporting history
- Correct admission and registration details.
- Graduation and matriculation information from the school.
- Dated results of both checks.
- Correction or verification acknowledgements.
- The current mobilisation notice.
Do not buy a “combined clearance” from someone who cannot identify the official process being completed. A genuine correction should leave a traceable institutional or service record.
Does appearing on both guarantee a particular deployment?
No. These checks should not be used to predict a state, batch or final deployment decision. Read the official position in your own account.
What if my numbers differ across documents?
List the exact differences and ask the issuing office to verify them. Never invent a replacement number to force a match.
