For a WES transcript request from Nigeria, use the document requirements shown for your own evaluation application. Do not assume that every qualification, awarding body or evaluation purpose uses the same document route.
Begin in your WES account
Record the evaluation type, credential and current document checklist. Copy the applicant reference carefully. If the instructions name the institution as the sender, a personal upload may not replace that requirement.
WES requirements can change, so check the current instructions rather than a video made for a different qualification or year. If your credential is not described clearly, ask WES before ordering the wrong document.
Check your university’s process
Ask the records office how it handles requests for WES and whether it has a dedicated destination option. UNILAG’s records guidance, for example, distinguishes a WES request route. Your own awarding institution’s instructions control its side of the process.
Give the university the correct reference and requested delivery information. Keep a screenshot or copy of the instructions in case the sender needs clarification.
Track three separate confirmations
- The university accepted and validated your request.
- The document was dispatched through the approved method.
- WES received and matched it to your application.
A courier delivery or payment receipt may be useful evidence, but it does not automatically mean the evaluation is complete. Read the status and any outstanding requirement in your own account.
Should I send duplicate copies immediately?
Ask which document is missing and whether the first delivery can be traced. Duplicates can add cost without fixing a reference mismatch.
Can a third party guarantee an evaluation result?
No intermediary should be treated as controlling the evaluator’s decision. Use the official document and enquiry routes and keep your academic record accurate.
