UNIUYO Admission List 2025/2026: What You Should Know

The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) in Akwa Ibom State has released its official 2025/26 undergraduate admissions list for those who applied via UTME or Direct Entry. This announcement is a crucial stage for applicants who took part in the post-UTME screening process. Successful applicants can now review their names to accept their admission and start registration for the upcoming academic session.

UNIUYO operates a clear admissions process that is conducted in collaboration in conjunction with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Admission verifications and payment are only made via official means. Candidates should avoid those who claim to provide help with admission in exchange for cash.

How to Check Your UNIUYO Admission Status

Method 1: Visit the UNIUYO e-Portal

  1. Go to the UNIUYO i-portal at https://uniuyo.edu.ng/iportals/
  2. Click on “Admission Status”.
  3. Enter your JMB registration number (or registration number).
  4. Simply click “Check Status” to view the admissions result.
  5. If you are accepted If you are accepted, take a copy of the admission letter or Notice of Admissions Status as well as your admission letter to keep for your documents.

Method 2: Check via JAMB CAPS

  1. Visit https://jamb.gov.ng/efacility and log in with your JAMB credentials.
  2. Select “Check Admission Status”.
  3. If your status reads “ADMISSION OFFERED,” you have been officially accepted at UNIUYO.
  4. If it reads “ADMISSION IN PROGRESS,” then the admissions process isn’t yet being processed. Please check again later.
  5. If it says “NOT ADMITTED”, be patient. More admission lists are usually issued in batches.

What to Do After You Are Offered Admission

Once you’ve confirmed your admission, follow these steps to guarantee your seat:

  1. Accept the Admission Offer on JAMB CAPS:
    1. Log into your JAMB eFacility account.
    1. Accept the admissions invitation to confirm your seat.
    1. If you do not accept the offer, it may result in your losing your admission.
  2. Pay the Acceptance and Registration Fees:
    1. Visit UNIUYO’s portal. UNIUYO portal to pay (usually through Remita).
    1. Print and download your receipt for payment after the transaction has been successful. Print your receipt after the transaction is completed.
    1. It will also be needed at the time of your clearance and screening process.
  3. Print Admission Documents:
    1. Create the UNIUYO Acceptance Letter.
    1. Print your JAMB Admission Letter.
    1. Please print your receipt for the acceptance fee payment.
    1. Make sure these documents are safe for registration and physical screening.
  4. Attend Screening and Verification:
    1. Explore the campus of the university with this list of documents.
      1. Copy of the original and copying your O’Level results.
      1. JAMB outcome slip.
      1. Birth certificate or age declaration.
      1. Identification of local government.
      1. UNIUYO in addition to JAMB acceptance letters.

  • Admission Lists are released in bulk: UNIUYO releases the merit and supplementary as well as direct entry admission lists at various dates. If your name isn’t on the list, first make sure to check it for yourself at a later time.
  • Do not pay unauthorised agents. The admission process is strictly controlled by UNIUYO’s officially authorised UNIUYO portal and the JAMB CAPS.
  • The Change in Course When you’re given a different course than the one you originally selected, you should apply for a modification of the course via JAMB CAPS as soon as you can.
  • Act on the date: Delay in acceptance or registration could result in the cancellation of your admissions offer.
  • Eligibility Important: Candidates must have at least five credits on pertinent O-level subjects, which includes English and Mathematics, which they have obtained within not more than two sessions. Direct Entry applicants must have the relevant A-level qualifications.
