Admission Requirements

General Requirements:

• All applicants for Ph.D., M.Phil., Master’s, and Postgraduate Diploma programmes must submit their academic transcripts.

Ph.D./M.Phil. Programmes:

• Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a 5.00 scale from BUK or any other recognized university.

Master’s Programmes (M.A., M.Ed., M.Sc., M.Eng., LLM):

• A good Second Class Lower degree in a relevant field from BUK or any other recognized university.
• Alternatively, a degree plus a Postgraduate Diploma at Credit level in a related field.

Postgraduate Diplomas:

• A minimum of a Third Class degree in a relevant field from BUK or any other recognized university.
• Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least a Lower Credit in related courses.

Application Procedure

1. Application Fee: A non-refundable fee of ₦12,000 is to be paid for the application form.
2. Application Period: The application portal is open from January 8, 2025, to February 28, 2025.
3. Steps to Apply:
   • Visit the BUK Postgraduate Application Portal.
   • Create an account and generate a payment invoice.
   • Proceed to any designated bank to make the payment or use the online payment option available on the portal.
   • After payment, log in to your account to complete the application form.
   • Upload the required documents, including academic transcripts, certificates, and other relevant credentials.
   • Review your application for accuracy and completeness before submission.
   • Submit the application and print the acknowledgment slip for your records.
