To raise a JAMB support ticket, use the official support website and explain one problem clearly. A good ticket gives an officer enough information to identify the record, reproduce the issue and tell you the next step.
Prepare the evidence first
Gather the relevant registration details, examination year, exact error message and dates. For a payment issue, keep the transaction reference and receipt. For an admission discrepancy, compare the school and CAPS statuses before writing.
Use screenshots that show the problem, but crop out unrelated account information. Never include a password, card PIN or one-time code. Upload documents only through the official ticket route that actually needs them.
A practical ticket structure
- Subject: name the service and error, such as “Admission status mismatch for [session].”
- What happened: describe the last successful action and the failure.
- When: give the date and approximate time.
- What you checked: list the relevant checks already completed.
- What you need: ask a specific question or request a record review.
Example: “After payment for [service] on [date], my bank shows a debit but the portal transaction remains pending. The reference is [reference]. I have checked the same transaction again without paying twice. Please confirm its status and the next action.”
After submission
Save the ticket number and acknowledgement. Follow up in the same thread when possible, adding new evidence rather than sending multiple conflicting accounts. If the school must correct its own record, contact the responsible school office as well.
Will a ticket guarantee immediate resolution?
No. Some issues require verification or action by another office. A clear ticket makes follow-up easier but does not establish a fixed response time.
Can I post my details in public comments instead?
Use a private official route for candidate records. Publicly posting an entire registration slip or payment receipt can expose information that strangers do not need.
