UNIPORT Post-UTME Screening
UNIPORT’s Post-UTME is a CBT-based screening covering your UTME subjects. Registration is done via uniport.edu.ng/admissions. The portal opens after JAMB result release β typically August β and closes within a few weeks. Your aggregate score combines JAMB and Post-UTME results at a ratio set by the university each year.
Direct Entry at UNIPORT
UNIPORT accepts DE candidates with A’Level passes (minimum two in relevant subjects), ND at Upper Credit or HND. O’Level requirements still apply in full. Apply through JAMB’s DE portal, then register for UNIPORT’s screening at their admissions portal.
Petroleum Engineering β UNIPORT’s Flagship Course
UNIPORT’s Petroleum Engineering programme is one of the most industry-connected courses in Nigerian higher education, with the Niger Delta’s oil industry literally on the university’s doorstep. Graduates regularly enter direct employment with NNPC, Shell, Chevron, Total, and international oilfield services companies like Schlumberger and Halliburton. It’s a competitive programme, but the return on investment is real and measurable. If Petroleum Engineering is your target, UNIPORT is one of the top two schools in Nigeria for it (alongside the University of Ibadan’s programme).
