Applications are invited for the sale of admission forms for the Post Basic Nursing Programme for the 2024/2025 academic session. All qualified candidates are invited to apply for appropriate courses under this programme.
Post Basic Nursing Specialties Available at LUTH
Admission is available at LUTH to the following accredited Post Basic Nursing programmes:
- Post Basic Perioperative Nursing
- Post Basic Critical Care Nursing
- Post Basic Accident and Emergency Nursing
- Post Basic Ophthalmic Nursing
- Post Basic Paediatric Nursing
All the above programmes will be one calendar year (12 months) long.
Entry Requirements
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Be a registered nurse (RN) with up-to-date registration from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN)
- Have one year clinical experience
- Possess five O’Level credits including English, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. Results should not exceed two sittings from WAEC, NECO, or GCE
How to Apply

- Select School of Post Basic Nursing
- Click on application link and complete the online form
- Pay the non-refundable application fee of ₦10,000 via the available payment system
- Upload all the documents needed like license, O’Level results, and RN certificate
- Submit and retain a printout of the confirmation slip as reference
Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written entrance test along with an oral interview. Details of these will be intimated to applicants over email and SMS.
Important Dates
Application for the year 2024/2025 is currently going on now. Eligible applicants are advised to apply ASAP. Closing date will be intimated later on the official website.
Additional Notes
- Inadequate applications will not be attended to
- Original documents should be presented by applicants during entrance examination and interview
- Third-party and agent submission is not encouraged at LUTH
