The University of Abuja is now accepting applications for its 2025/2026 Top-Up Degree Programme. This programme is designed for individuals who already have a Higher National Diploma (HND) or a Bachelor’s degree with a Third Class or Pass, and want to upgrade to a full Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc., B.A., B.Ed., etc.).
This upgrade offers a flexible and structured route to improve your qualifications and expand your career options.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the Top-Up Degree Programme, you must:
- Have a Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least Lower Credit
OR - Hold a Bachelor’s Degree with Third Class or Pass
- Have at least five O’Level credit passes, including English and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings
- Acceptable O’Level results include WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE
You may also qualify with:
- Two A-Level passes + Five O’Level credits
- A National Diploma (ND) or NCE with at least 10 points
- IJMB with 10 points

How to Apply
Follow these steps to complete your application:
- Visit the University’s online application portal.
- Click on the “Bachelor’s Degree Upgrade” application link.
- Enter your personal details (name, email, phone number).
- Generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR).
- Pay ₦20,000 using your ATM card (MasterCard or Visa).
- You will receive your application number via SMS and email.
- Go back to the login page, enter your application number and surname.
- Complete and submit the full application form.
Application Deadline
All applications must be completed and submitted on or before Friday, June 13, 2025. Late applications will not be accepted.
