How to Apply for AFIT Remedial Admission Form 2025/2026

The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna, is inviting qualified applicants to apply for admission to its Remedial Program for the academic session 2025/2026. The program is designed to assist candidates in improving their academic performance and making them eligible for undergraduate courses.

It’s the perfect chance for students who do not meet the minimum admission requirements to fill in the gaps and gain admission to a future university.

Who Should Apply?

This program is excellent for:

  • Candidates who did not attain the minimum JAMB cut-off scores.
  • Students with poor or no O’Level outcomes in English Maths, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology.
  • Candidates who are seeking to have a second chance of qualifying for admission to the whole university.

Admission Requirements

For Social and Management Sciences

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • 5 (5) O’Level credit for relevant subject areas, including English Language and Mathematics.
  • At least two Science or Arts-related disciplines like Commerce, Economics, Government, etc.
  • The maximum is two sessions within WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB.

For Engineering and Sciences

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Credit scores for English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • The results must be achieved within not more than two attempts using any exam organization.

Candidates waiting to see their results can submit the complete results before registering.

Duration of the Programme

The AFIT remedial course lasts an academic term divided by 2 semesters.

During this time, students will:

  • Take part in lectures that are structured for subject areas that are lacking.
  • Be assessed through ongoing examinations and tests.
  • Attend the end-of-session exams to determine your progress and level of qualification.

Programme Objectives

  • Help students understand the minimal O’Level requirements.
  • Increase academic performance in crucial areas.
  • Help students prepare for the next UTME test.
  • Provide successful candidates with a higher chance of being accepted into the undergraduate courses offered by AFIT.

How to Apply

Here’s how you can apply for the 2025/26 AFIT Remedial Program:

  1. Go to the AFIT portal for remedial applications.
  2. Select the correct application year ( 2025/2026 Remedial).
  3. Complete the online application with accurate personal information.
  4. Upload an undistorted passport photo as well as scanned O’Level test results.
  5. You can pay the N10,000 fee with any ATM compatible with Interswitch. Card.
  6. After making your payment, print the application slip and receipt.

Both documents must be presented to register at AFIT.

Application Timeline

  • Application Opens: June 27 2025
  • Application Closes: July 26 2025

Applications received after the deadline are not accepted. Registration early to avoid technical problems is highly recommended.

Important Notes

  • All applicants need to apply via the AFIT portal. AFIT portal.
  • Check that all files have been uploaded to the correct format and size.
  • Only authentic results are acceptable. Any falsification can result in the exclusion.
  • Candidates should be prepared to sit for tests to test their knowledge at the end of the session.
