Bingham University has obtained approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to start a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) program beginning in the 2024/2025 academic session. This decision came after NUC experts conducted a resource verification visit in late 2023.
The NUC’s Acting Director of Academic Planning, Abubakar M. Girei, sent a letter to the Vice-Chancellor confirming the approval. In response, the Vice-Chancellor thanked the NUC for its recognition, congratulated the university community, and urged staff to remain dedicated to their duties.
This approval allows Bingham University to expand its academic offerings and provide students with the opportunity to pursue a Pharm D program. The university community is encouraged to stay committed to their roles as they prepare to welcome the inaugural class for this program in the upcoming academic session.
