Benue State University Announces 2024/2025 Post UTME Screening Exercise

The management of Benue State University, Makurdi, has announced the resumption of the sale of its Post UTME screening forms for the 2024/2025 academic session. This exercise is to be regarded as a necessary criterion for admission into various undergraduate programmes of the institution.

Eligibility Criteria Benue State University Announces 2024/2025 Post UTME Screening Exercise

To be eligible for the BSU Post UTME screening, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • UTME Score: A minimum score of 150 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
  • First Choice Institution: BSU must be the first choice in the UTME.
  • O’Level Requirements: Minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in at least two sittings.

Application Procedure

The application procedure is as below:

  • Online Registration: Go to the BSU Post UTME portal at https://portal.bsum.edu.ng.
  • Payment: A non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000 is payable. Payment is to be made online through the Portal using any bank debit credit card or through the microfinance bank available on the Campus.
  • Form Completion: Complete the biodata form accurately with your most recent information.
  • Document Upload: Upload clear scanned copies of relevant documents, including ‘O’ Level results and UTME result slip.
  • Submission: Carefully review the provided information, then submit. Print a copy of the acknowledgement form for future reference.

Important Date

Application Deadline: The online portal will be closed on 5th January 2025.

Screening Schedule: On the exercise date, candidates shall report at the respective centres with copies of their application forms along with the documents and personal items specified below. After successful screening, the results and admission status/positions will be uploaded on the university’s website for candidates’ perusal.

O’Level Result Upload: Candidates must upload their O’Level results on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) for verification.
