Admission Requirements

MSc Aerospace Vehicle Design

  • Academic Qualifications: Applicants must have at least five credits, including English and Mathematics passes. These credits should be obtained in no more than two sittings.
  • Degree Requirements: To be eligible, you must have obtained a second class lower in a first degree in the following fields: Aerospace Engineering, Material Sciences, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.

MSc Thermal Power

  • Academic Qualifications: In order to meet the requirements, a minimum of five credits, including both English and Mathematics, must be obtained within no more than two examination periods.
  • Degree Requirements: A second class lower in a first degree in relevant fields is required.

PGD in Aerospace Engineering

  • Academic Qualifications: Applicants need a minimum of five credits, including English and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings.
  • Degree Requirements: Applicants must have completed a third class in a first degree or an HND with at least a lower credit in one of the following fields: Material Sciences, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.

PGD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering

  • Academic Qualifications: To meet the requirements, students must have at least five credits, including English and Mathematics. These credits should be obtained in no more than two sittings.
  • Degree Requirements: A third-class degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field is required, or an HND with at least a lower credit in the same subject area.

PGD in Construction Technology

  • Academic Qualifications: A minimum of five credits, including English and Mathematics, is required in no more than two sittings.
  • Degree Requirements: A third class in a first degree or an HND with at least a lower credit in Construction Technology or related fields is required.

PGD in Logistics and Supply Chain Management

  • Academic Qualifications: A minimum of five credits, including English and Mathematics, is required in no more than two sittings.
  • Degree Requirements: A third class in a first degree or an HND with at least a lower credit in Purchasing and Supply or related fields is required.

Method of Application

The application process for postgraduate programs at AFIT is entirely online. The registration portal is currently open for applicants. To apply, prospective students need to visit the official website of the AFIT School of Postgraduate Studies and complete the online application form. Please note that there is an application fee of N15,300. To apply for any postgraduate program at AFIT, please follow the steps outlined below:

  • Complete the Application Form: Fill out the online application form with accurate and current information.
  • Submit the Application: Ensure all required documents are attached, and submit the application online.
