FUTD Admission List 2025/2026: How to Check Your Status and Next Steps

The Federal University of Transportation, Daura ( FUTD) has announced its admissions list for 2025/2026 which applicants are now able to check their status via the CAPS portal of the JAMB. This guide will help you check your eligibility, read CAPS’s messages Accept your offer, take a printout of the JAMB Admissions Letter and start registering at FUTD.

The admission list isn’t yet on the school’s website. All students have to use CAPS JAMB in order to verify their admission. Additional names will be added as batches which is why students should keep looking over their profile.

Overview of FUTD Admission List 2025/2026

FUTD has uploaded the first set of admissions for the 2025/2026 academic session. Candidates who chose the university during JAMB registration or applied through change of institution should check their status immediately.

The JAMB CAPS portal is the main platform for checking offers at this stage. Refreshing CAPS regularly is important because the status can change anytime.

How to Check FUTD Admission Status on JAMB CAPS

Follow these simple steps:

  1. Go to the JAMB e-Facility portal.
  2. Log in using your JAMB email and password.
  3. Scroll to Check Admission Status.
  4. Click Access my CAPS.
  5. Select Admission Status.

If FUTD has offered you admission, it will appear on this page.

JAMB CAPS Admission Messages and Their Meaning

Candidates may see different messages on CAPS. Each one has a meaning:

ADMISSION OFFERED

You have been admitted. You can accept or reject the offer immediately.

ADMISSION IN PROGRESS (AIP)

FUTD has recommended you. Your name is waiting for final approval by JAMB.

RECOMMENDED

You have been selected for admission, but JAMB is still verifying your details.

NOT ADMITTED

You have not been offered admission yet. More names may still be uploaded.

PENDING

Your admission is still under review.

These messages can change with time. Candidates should keep checking CAPS.

How to Accept or Reject Your Admission Offer

Once CAPS shows ADMISSION OFFERED, you must accept or reject the offer. Two methods are available:

1. Through a JAMB CBT Centre

Visit any approved JAMB CBT centre.
Complete the process using their biometric system.

2. By SMS

Send ACCEPT or REJECT to 55019 or 66019.
Use the phone number used for your JAMB registration.
Ensure you have at least ₦50 airtime in your main balance.

Keep a personal record of the action you take.

Printing Your JAMB Admission Letter

After accepting your offer:

  1. Go to the JAMB Admission Letter printing page.
  2. Log in with your e-Facility details.
  3. Pay the required fee.
  4. Print your JAMB Admission Letter.
  5. Keep multiple copies for screening and registration.

How to Fix Phone Display Issues on CAPS

If your phone only shows the welcome page:

  1. Open the CAPS page using Google Chrome.
  2. Tap the menu button.
  3. Select Request Desktop Site.

This will show the full CAPS menu, including the admission status.

FUTD Registration Procedure for Newly Admitted Students

Newly admitted students must complete registration on the school portal and on campus.

Step 1: Pay the Acceptance Fee

  1. Visit www.futd.edu.ng.
  2. Log in as a new student.
  3. Pay the ₦25,000 acceptance fee.
  4. Print the Remita receipt.

Step 2: Screening and Registration at the Academic Office

Go to the Academic Office with both original and photocopies of these documents:

  • JAMB Admission Letter
  • JAMB Result Slip
  • WAEC/NECO/NABTEB/NBAIS O-Level result
  • First School Leaving Certificate
  • Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
  • Indigene Certificate
  • Six passport photographs
