BUK Direct Entry Admission List Out – How to Check and What to Do Next

Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has officially published the Direct Entry (DE) admission list for the 2024/2025 academic year. Students who applied to BUK using JAMB Direct Entry can now verify their admission status and complete the necessary steps to guarantee their seats.

How to Check Your Admission Status

Take these steps to verify whether you’ve been invited to attend:

  1. Go to the JAM e-Facility website.
  2. Log in using the email address that you have registered and the password.
  3. Choose “Check Admission Status” Then, select “Access my CAPS”.
  4. Under CAPS, check your Admission Status:
  1. If it says “Offer of Admission”, Click Accept to confirm, or Reject If you decide to decline.
  2. If it displays “Admission Still in Progress“ or “Not Admitted,” Keep checking it regularly since updates could happen.

Steps After Admission Offer

If you’ve accepted the admission offer through JAMB CAPS, you’ll need to follow the steps below:

1. Complete BUK’s Direct Entry Online Screening

  • Go to our Official BUK Direct Entry Screening Portal (BUKDES).
  • Log in with the de-registration code, state of the place and the gender of your user.
  • Ensure your profile is updated with current personal information, such as contact details.
  • You can upload all of your Results from O’Level (maximum two sessions) as well as you’ll need to upload your O’Level results, your NCE, IJMB, or equivalent certification.
  • Create the BUK Personal payment form (BUKPPF) and pay the screening fee with Remita (via online payment or bank branch).
  • After you have paid, print your acknowledgment slip and be able to show it during the screening.

2. Attend Physical Documentation & Screening

  • You can go to the designated screening area on campus and follow the steps:
  • Rectification slips that are printed
  • Originals, as well as photocopies
  • O’Level certificates
  • DE certificates (A-Level, ND, NCE, etc.)
  • Birth certificate or sworn age declaration
  • The Direct Entry slip of JAMB
  • Other documents that the university requires

Timeline & Deadlines

  • The direct Entry screening process and the payment usually take place from the end of September until the beginning of December 2024.
  • In the event of a delay, it could cause exclusion from admission.
  • Always check the screening portal and your email for notifications on specific dates and instructions.

Important Tips

  • Only make use of the BUK DE Screening Portal. BUK DE Screening Portal–avoid third-party sites or agents.
  • Check all uploaded documents to ensure clarity and accuracy.
  • Verify that your contact information is accurate; essential messages will be sent via text or email.
  • Admission is entirely on merit. Any form of fraud will lead to the disqualification of the applicant.

Final Checklist

If your name is as a candidate on the BUK Direct Entry Admission List, congrats! Here’s what you have to do:

Accept the admission offer you received on JAMB CAPS

Create your profile. Upload all required documents through BUK DE’s portal. BUK DE portal
