FUOTUOKE Admission into Law Programme for 2024/2025 Academic Session

The Federal University Otuoke (FUOTUOKE) is inviting qualified candidates to apply for its Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) programme for the 2024/2025 academic session. If you meet the admission requirements, you can participate in the Post-UTME screening exercise.

Eligibility for FUOTUOKE Law Admission

To be eligible for the Post-UTME screening and admission into the Law programme, candidates must meet the following requirements:

1. First Choice Candidates

  • Candidates who selected FUOTUOKE as their first-choice university in the 2024/2025 JAMB UTME.
  • Must have selected Law (LL.B.) as their preferred course.
  • Must have scored a minimum of 140 in the 2024/2025 UTME.

2. Candidates Who Did Not Choose FUOTUOKE Initially

  • Candidates who did not select FUOTUOKE as their first choice in JAMB but wish to study Law at the university can apply.
  • However, such candidates must change their institution to FUOTUOKE via the JAMB Change of Institution portal before applying for the Post-UTME screening.
  • The minimum UTME score required remains 140.

Admission Requirements

Candidates must meet the following academic qualifications to be considered for admission into the Law programme:

  • A minimum of five (5) O’ Level credits, including:
    • English Language
    • Mathematics
    • Literature in English
    • Any other two (2) relevant subjects
  • The O’ Level results must be from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB and must have been obtained in not more than two sittings.
  • Candidates using two sittings must upload two result scratch card details for verification.
  • All O’ Level results must be uploaded on the JAMB CAPS portal for admission consideration.

How to Apply for FUOTUOKE Law Post-UTME Screening

Eligible candidates must follow these steps to apply for the Post-UTME screening:

1. Payment of Application Fee

  • Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of ₦2,000.
  • Payment can be made online using an Interswitch Verve or Mastercard debit card.
  • Candidates should ensure they complete the payment process before proceeding to registration.

2. Online Registration

  • Visit the FUOTUOKE E-Campus Portal to fill out the online application form.
  • Candidates must provide accurate personal and academic information.
  • Upload all required documents in the specified formats.

Required Documents for FUOTUOKE Law Admission

During the online application process, candidates must upload scanned copies of the following documents:

  1. Recent Passport Photograph (in JPG format)
  2. WAEC/NECO/NABTEB O’ Level Result (in PDF format)
  3. Birth Certificate or Age Declaration (in PDF format)
  4. Local Government Identification Letter (in PDF format)
  5. O’ Level Result Scratch Card Information (for result verification)
  6. Valid Email Address and Phone Number

Note: Ensure that your passport photograph is clear and meets FUOTUOKE’s application requirements.

Screening Schedule and Important Dates

  • Application Start Date: Monday, 3rd February 2025.
  • Deadline: Two weeks from the start date (exact closing date to be announced).
  • Screening Date: The official screening date will be communicated later through the FUOTUOKE portal.

Candidates should check their Post-UTME Screening Schedule Printout after completing their application to know the screening date and venue.

Reasons for Disqualification

Applicants will not be considered for admission if they fall into any of these categories:

  • O’ Level results are not uploaded on JAMB CAPS before the deadline.
  • False information is provided regarding:
    • UTME score
    • O’ Level grades
    • State of origin
  • Incomplete applications or failure to meet the minimum requirements.

How to Check FUOTUOKE Admission Status

After the screening, candidates can check their admission status through:

  1. FUOTUOKE Admission Portal: Log in to the FUOTUOKE official website.
  2. JAMB CAPS Portal:
    • Visit JAMB CAPS.
    • Log in with your JAMB registration number and password.
    • Click on “Check Admission Status”.
    • Accept or reject the admission offer when it appears.
