What is JAMB registration?

JAMB registration is the process of registering for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The UTME is a computer-based test that is used to assess the eligibility of students for admission into Nigerian universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.

How to register for JAMB

There are two ways to register for JAMB: online and offline.

  • Online registration: To register for JAMB online, you will need to create an account on the JAMB portal. Once you have created an account, you can log in and start the registration process. You will need to provide your personal information, including your name, date of birth, and address. You will also need to upload a passport-sized photograph.
  • Offline registration: To register for JAMB offline, you will need to purchase a JAMB registration form from a designated bank. Once you have purchased a form, you will need to fill it out and submit it to a JAMB registration center.

Important tips for registration

  • Be sure to have all of the required documents ready before you start the registration process.

Common mistakes to avoid in jamb registration

  • Not having a National Identification Number (NIN). The NIN is now compulsory for all candidates registering for JAMB. If you do not have a NIN, you will not be able to register.
  • Not paying the registration fee on time. The registration fee is ₦4,000. If you do not pay the registration fee on time, you will not be able to complete the registration process.
  • Not checking your email regularly for updates from JAMB. JAMB will send you important updates about your registration status and the UTME exam. If you do not check your email regularly, you may miss important information.
