UNILAG ICE Part-Time Degree Form 2024/2025 Now on Sale

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has started selling admission forms for the Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) for the 2024/2025 academic session. This program is for people who want to earn a degree through part-time study. It is ideal for workers, business owners, and anyone who needs a flexible school schedule.

Courses are taught on weekends and evenings. The program gives you the same degree as full-time students. You don’t need to write JAMB to apply.

UNILAG ICE offers part-time degree programs in these faculties:

Faculty of Arts

  • English
  • French
  • History and Strategic Studies
  • Linguistics, African and Asian Studies
  • Philosophy

Faculty of Management Sciences

  • Business Administration
  • Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management
  • Public Administration

Faculty of Social Sciences

  • Economics
  • Mass Communication
  • Political Science
  • Psychology
  • Sociology

Each course leads to a Bachelor’s degree. Classes are handled by qualified lecturers from the university’s full-time departments.

Admission Requirements

You can apply with one of the following:

  • O’Level (WAEC, NECO, or GCE): At least five credits including English and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings. Some courses may require specific subjects like Literature or Government.
  • Direct Entry (DE): If you have a Diploma, NCE, OND, or HND, you may qualify for direct entry. Your result must match the course you’re applying for.
  • You must be 21 years or older before admission.

All applicants must upload clear and valid documents when applying online.

How to Apply

To apply for the UNILAG ICE program:

Step One

  • Register at the JAMB CAPS portal
  • Pay ₦3,500 for JAMB registration number
  • UTME not required

Step Two

  1. Go to the official UNILAG ICE admission portal.
  2. Click on the 2024/2025 application form link.
  3. Create a profile using your full name, phone number, and email.
  4. Pay the application fee of ₦11,500 using a debit card.
  5. Fill out the form and upload your documents (O’Level result, birth certificate, etc.).
  6. Submit the form and print your slip.

Only online applications are accepted. Do not submit any paper forms.

Application Deadline

The application is still open. UNILAG will announce the closing date soon. Interested candidates should apply early to avoid missing out.

Duration of Study

Most ICE degree programs take four to six years, depending on your course and entry level.

  • O’Level holders start from Year 1.
  • Direct-entry students may start from Year 2 or 3.

Classes usually are held on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) and on weekday evenings, depending on the department.

  • No JAMB is required for ICE admission.
  • You’ll study at the Akoka campus in Lagos.
