Borno State University, BOSU, has commenced the NELFUND registration for students, as ordered by the Vice-Chancellor, Engr. Professor Babagana Gutti. The eligible students are to ensure that their registration is completed on or before Tuesday, 3 December 2024, before the end of the second-semester examinations. This is important as it will enable the students to be able to access the benefits accruable through the NELFUND initiative.
Faculties to be participate
The NELFUND registration involves the following faculties:
- Faculty of Arts and Education
- Faculty of Agriculture
- Faculty of Sciences
- Faculty of Social and Management Sciences
- Faculty of Health and Allied Medicine
Students from these faculties are expected to report to the ICT Unit for registration within the stipulated deadline.
Eligibility Criteria for NELFUND Registration
To be eligible for NELFUND registration, students must meet the following academic and entry requirements:
Fresh Entry:
Students must have gained admission through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
Direct Entry:
The applicants for Direct Entry must have valid admission through JAMB into a recognized tertiary institution.
Full-time Undergraduate:
Only students who are on a full-time undergraduate study will be considered. A valid matriculation number will be needed.
Registration Documents
Following is the document and information a student is expected to present for NELFUND registration.
- JAMB Registration Number
- Bank Verification Number (BVN)
- National Identity Number (NIN)
- Personal information includes: age, sex, phone number, home address, and email address.
- Recent passport photograph (ensure it meets the University requirements)
Important Instructions for Students
Accuracy: Make sure, during registration, that everything has been correctly entered for possible quick processing.
Dead-line: Registration should close by 3 December 2024, before the close of examinations, second semester.
Visit ICT Unit: Students are strongly appealed to visit the ICT Unit now to conclude any current registration process to not overshoot the deadline date.
