The Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun, is inviting applications from qualified candidates to be admitted into the full-time National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND) and Certificate Programs for the academic session 2025/2026.

Admission Requirements

Certificate Programmes

• Five O’Level credits that include English Language and Mathematics.
• Credits are to be earned in not more than two sessions.
• Fitness is essential exceptionally to be able to perform Commercial Diving.

National Diploma (ND)

• Five O’Level credits, including English Language, Mathematics, and other relevant subjects for the course you aim to take.
• Acceptable exam organizations: WAEC, NECO, NABTEB.
• Results should be gathered in no more than two sessions.

Higher National Diploma (HND)

• National Diploma (ND) from PTI or any other recognized institution with a similar discipline.
• Five O’Level credits are required for ND.
• Evidence of one year of Industrial training (IT) following ND’s conclusion.

In the meantime, candidates can apply, but they must submit all their required documentation before all required documentation before admissions clearance.

How to Apply

Make sure you follow these instructions to finish your application

1. Go to the official PTI admissions portal.
2. Click Apply to be admitted . Then, click the Sign Up Here option.
3. Your profile can be created by supplying accurate personal information, an email address and a phone number.
4. Choose your desired program: ND, HND, or Certificate.
5. Create your Remita Return Reference (RRR) for payment.
6. Pay the fee of N15,000 at any bank or by using online banking.
7. Log in to the portal. Login, and then fill out your profile.
8. Send a passport image (maximum 150KB in size, format gif/png/jpg).
9. Choose one of your second and third choices of courses.
10. Print the filled-out application form and exam card. Both documents are required for screening and interviews.

Application Fee

• Standard Application Fee: N15,000 (non-refundable).
• Applications received late after the deadline could result in a late fee.

Application Timeline

• Opening Date: 16 June 2025
• Closing Date: 20 August 2025

Candidates are strongly advised to complete their applications by the deadline to avoid late fees and missed opportunities.

Screening, Exams & Interviews

• Certificate and ND applicants Will undergo entry-level screening tests.
• HND applicants: Will attend an obligatory appointment scheduled to take place from the 25th-29th of August 2025.

Candidates must bring their original credentials, printed forms for application, and payment receipts. Proof of identity at the time of screening or interview.
