Nigerian Agip Exploration Limited (NAE), in collaboration with NNPC Limited, is offering its 2025/2026 Postgraduate Scholarship Award Scheme to support Nigerian graduates pursuing master’s degrees in key areas related to the oil and gas sector.
Scholarship Categories
Applicants can choose from two types of scholarships:
Local Scholarship – for those studying in Nigerian universities.
Overseas Scholarship – for those admitted into international institutions.
Approved Fields of Study
This scholarship supports full-time one-year master’s programs in the following courses:
- Geosciences
- Petroleum Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical/Electronics Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Subsea Engineering
- Offshore Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
- Marine Engineering
- Renewable Energy
- Petroleum Economics
- Oil and Gas Law
- Petroleum Law
Who Can Apply
To be eligible, you must:
- Have a Second-Class Upper (2:1) or higher from a recognized Nigerian university
- Be admitted into a one-year master’s program in one of the approved courses
- Be 28 years old or younger as of December 31, 2025
- Have completed your National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)
- Possess a valid international passport (for those applying to study abroad)
Required Documents
All applicants must upload the following:
- A clear passport photo (450 x 450 pixels, white background)
- Admission letter for a 2025/2026 postgraduate program
- Degree certificate
- NYSC discharge certificate
- Valid ID (National ID, voter’s card, or driver’s license)
- International passport (for overseas applicants)
How to Apply
To apply for the NAE postgraduate scholarship:
- Visit the official scholarship application portal (hosted by Scholastica).
- Create an account using a valid email address.
- Log in and fill out the application form with correct personal and academic details.
- Upload all required documents.
- Ensure your application is complete before submission.
- You will receive a confirmation email after a successful submission.
Note: Applications sent by email or post will not be accepted.
Selection Process
Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a computer-based test on May 17, 2025. Notifications will be sent via SMS and email.
NAE employees and their dependents, as well as past scholarship beneficiaries, are not eligible to apply.
Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, living expenses, books, field trips, and return economy air travel (for overseas scholars).
Application Deadline
The closing date for applications is April 27, 2025. Late applications will not be considered.
