JAMB Subject Combination for Bar Single and Combination Honours in Modern Languages (2026)
For this course to be completed, it is necessary to have four of the four subjects from the UTME:
- English Language
- French, as well as any other modern language
- Literature-in-English
- Another Arts or Social Science subject (e.g., CRS, Government, or History, CRS, etc.)
Core vs Optional Subjects
- The Core Subjects: English, French (or selected language), Literature
- Optional Subjects: Government, CRS, History, Yoruba, Igbo
Some universities might permit the use of CRS and Economics instead of History. Verify by checking the the university.

Direct Entry Requirements
Direct Entry candidates must meet the following requirements: Direct Entry candidates must have:

- A diploma or NCE in the relevant language, or Arts or Arts
- JUPEB and IJMB for at least two of the arts subjects
Direct Entry applicants can begin at the 200 level in accordance with the institution.
