The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) is now accepting applications for its Sandwich Degree Programmes for the 2025 academic session. These programmes are tailored for individuals seeking flexible learning opportunities in various educational and vocational fields.​

Programme Duration and Entry Requirements:

4-Year Sandwich Degree Programme:

This track is designed for candidates possessing a National Certificate in Education (NCE) or National Diploma (ND). Applicants should have:​

  • At least a Merit in NCE or ND in a relevant field from a recognized institution.​
  • Five O’Level credit passes, including Mathematics and English, obtained in no more than two sittings.​

5-Year Sandwich Degree Programme:

This option is available to candidates with qualifications such as WASCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB, Teachers Grade II Certificate, NCE, or ND. Applicants must have:​

  • A pass in NCE with five O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English, achieved in no more than two sittings.​
  • Five SSCE O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English, as required by the chosen course.​

Candidates applying for the 5-Year Programme will be required to participate in an aptitude test conducted by the university.​

Application Procedure:

  1. JAMB Registration:

Prospective students must register through a JAMB State Office, selecting the University of Nigeria, Nsukka as their first-choice institution. This step ensures that JAMB assigns registration numbers and uploads candidate details to the JAMB CAPS system.

  1. Processing Fee Payment:
    • 4-Year Programme: ₦5,000​
    • 5-Year Programme: ₦10,000​

Candidates should generate a “Sandwich Registration Invoice” via the UNN Portal and make the payment at any commercial bank using the Remita platform.

Completion of Online Registration:

    After payment, applicants should:

    1. Return to the UNN portal and complete the Sandwich Registration Form.​
    2. Print the completed form and submit it, along with academic credentials, to the Sandwich and Evening Programmes Unit at the Registrar’s Department.​

    Important Information:

    • The 2025 JAMB Sandwich forms are currently available.​
    • Candidates are not required to sit for the JAMB Examination.
    • All payments should be made exclusively through the approved university channels to avoid fraud.​
