University of Ibadan ASUU Launches 2024/2025 Scholarship for Indigent Students

The University of Ibadan Chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities is pleased to announce the 2024/2025 scholarship program for indigent but academically capable students. This gesture by ASUU shows that it is committed to educational equity and financial success for indigent students.

Who Can Apply?

The scholarship is open to registered students of the University of Ibadan who demonstrate academic excellence and financial need. Eligible candidates must have a CGPA of 3.0 or above to qualify for consideration.

Application Requirements

To apply, students are required to submit the following documents:

  • A two-page application letter including:
    • Name of the applicant
    • Course and year of study
    • Email address and phone number
    • State of origin
  • A photocopy of the current university identity card.
  • A letter from the Head of Department confirming the applicant’s CGPA for the preceding academic session.
  • A copy of the current session’s registration form.
  • Two recent passport photographs.

Submission Details

Completed applications must be submitted in person to the ASUU-UI Secretariat at Mellanby Hall, University of Ibadan. The deadline for submission is 12 noon on Thursday, January 9, 2025. Late applications will not be considered.
