The Murtala Muhammed Foundation, in partnership with the Africa Science Academy, invites applications for its fully-funded scholarship program commencing in the 2024/2025 academic year. The scholarship targets young African females pursuing undergraduate degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics at various African universities.
Scholarship Benefits
The MMF STEM Scholarship provides comprehensive support to successful applicants, including:
- Tuition Coverage: Full payment of tuition fees for a four-year undergraduate program.
- Accommodation: Accommodated on campus for the duration of study.
- Living Expenses: A monthly allowance to cover other daily living expenses.
- Medical Insurance: Full health care will be provided throughout the scholarship.
- Internship: Annual paid internship with industry practical experience in STEM studies.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants are to satisfy the following eligibility factors before their applications can be considered for the scholarship:
- Gender and Citizenship: Female and a citizen of an African country.
- Age: Between 16 and 19 years old.
- Educational Background: Completion of secondary education-IGCSEs, O-Level, or its equivalent by July 2024.
- Academic Performance: Attainment of Grades A or B in Physics and Mathematics during WAEC or its equivalent examination.
- Interest in STEM: The student should show a great deal of passion and aptitude for the STEM disciplines.
