FUPRE Introduces New B.Sc. Programs with NUC Approval

The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE), has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to offer new Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) programs. These programs will be available starting from the 2024/2025 academic session.​

Newly Approved Programs

The approved programs include:​

  • B.Sc. Data Sciencef
  • B.Sc. Cyber Security
  • B.Sc. Information Technology
  • B.Sc. Software Engineering
  • B.Sc. Maritime Economics and Finance
  • B.Sc. Maritime Transport and Logistics
  • B.Sc. Statistics

These programs are designed to equip students with relevant skills for the evolving job market.​

Admission Requirements

Prospective students must meet the following criteria:​

  • O’Level Requirements: Five credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics. Specific subject requirements vary by program.​
  • UTME Subject Combination: Subjects relevant to the chosen program.​
  • Direct Entry: Advanced Level passes in pertinent subjects.​
