The University of Ibadan is the first university established in Nigeria, and its founding dates back to 1948. Initially offering academic programs in Arts, Science, and Medicine, the institution has since evolved into a comprehensive learning centre with educational programs spanning sixteen faculties. University of Ibadan(UI) is ranked as the 4th University in Nigeria and proudly holds the impressive position of 801–1000 in the World ranking.

A key indicator of its academic prowess is an average annual production of 3,000 Masters and 250 Ph.D. graduates.
